Dr. Prasad graduated with his Bachelor of Science in health science from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he stayed to complete his residency in diagnostic radiology. Afterward, he completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Indiana University, located in Indianapolis.
