Sometimes pain is the last sign to show up and the first sign to go away. Typically a patient has an underlying problem with weakness in their muscles long before pain ever starts. Focusing on just the joint is only half of the solution. That’s why our Physicians at Centers for Pain Control prescribe corrective exercises to help you out of pain and stabilize your spine and joints so it doesn’t return.
We utilize a Health Movement Screen to determine functional weaknesses. This is an assessment of functional movements of the entire body to detect bio mechanical faults, muscle imbalances and weaknesses. Depending on the resultant score of the assessment, the practitioner will choose a rehabilitation program. The result is a reduction in mechanical pain and improves the strength to potentially prevent you from re-injuring it again.
